但是Power Grid並不是一個不受控制的野獸。所有的power都經由多元素的gain與音量控制系統，讓你能充分利用。比方說，轉動gain的旋鈕，你會得到很厚實、飽和的 ”Modded British”音色，讓你回想起建立金屬音色的吉他。但如果你把gain關小，你會得到一個很近似SFX-03 Twin Tube Classic的crunch 破音。在gain的調校之中，你就能得很多不同層次的過載(overdrive)與失真(distortion)。
透過更進一步的3段EQ調整，每一個有12dB boost或者可以控制frequencies。比起其他的破音效果器是passive EQ，Power Grid可以讓你創造更多音色的可能性。這麼多的power與control，SFX-08應該是你買的最後一顆破音效果器了。
